Durham photography studio prepares to reopen following Lockdown 2 during Covid 19 Pandemic

Photography for little people by Melanie. Newborn photography and Family photo shoots across County Durham and Sunderland

I have specialised in newborn photography for 15 years now. I had to close my business like many others when Covid 19 hit back in March during the first Lockdown and again now in November during the second Lockdown our Country has faced during the Coronavirus pandemic.

My studio is my passion and I love every minute with my clients. Following government guidelines I choose to go above and beyond their recommendations and wear full PPE to do everything I can to create a safe environment for these precious new babies born during this difficult time. This worked very well following the first Lockdown and I was delighted when clients felt safe and was able to enjoy their time in the studio with their new babies.

The studio is a clean and safe environment, it always has been. I have taken advise and have added “fogging” to our deep cleaning practise. As a business owner I have a duty of care to you, my families, to keep you as safe as possible from contracting Coronavirus. Fogging releases a fine mist spray of a safe cleaning solution into the air, which coats every single surface as it falls. This will eradicate the virus if it was present and protects against the virus.

We are half way through the second Lockdown and just like last time many families have had their babies during this strange time and their stories are incredible. It may look a little different in the studio at the moment but there’s always time for cuddles and giggles. I look forward to reopening the studio again following this brief shutdown and creating some amazing memories that will be treasured forever.

"I went to Melanie for a newborn shoot following the first Lockdown. At first I was a little apprehensive because of the current coronavirus pandemic. As soon as I entered the building I felt at ease I could see the precautions/changes that had been put in place, the studio had been deep cleaned, there was hand sanitiser, face masks and shoe coverings at the door ready for us to put on and use. Melanie was very professional throughout the whole shoot. The studio was immaculately clean, there was also hand sanitiser for us to use during the shoot, the wraps were set out ready ( a different set of wraps for each child ) to avoid contamination. Melanie wore a face mask and gown throughout our visit to ensure our baby girl was safe. I felt comfortable and relaxed knowing Melanie has went above and beyond to ensure we were as safe as possible. I would recommend Melanie to anybody she is amazing and so are our photos."
