Maternity photography Procedure
When should we enquire and book our maternity session?
As soon as possible! It’s best to contact us to reserve your custom photography session during the early weeks of your second trimester of your pregnancy to ensure our availability. Maternity sessions are recommended around 32-34 weeks of your pregnancy. We typically book sessions 6-12 weeks in advance, and during busier seasons up to 20 weeks in advance.
Where do the maternity sessions take place?
We are mobile and will bring the studio to you. Your photo shoot will take place in the comfort of your home.
Does the maternity session include the father and/or our other children?
Yes. The maternity session may include dad and any siblings. The maternity session will focus on your baby bump and capturing the loving bond between the expectant parents and/or family.
What can we expect during the session?
You can expect a photographer that will be very involved in directing you how to pose and instruct you in what to do. We will break the ice and get you to feel comfortable being in front of the camera. You can expect a memorable experience with resulting images that portray the glow and beauty of pregnancy.
What should I wear in my maternity shoot?
Everything you will need to know to prepare for your session, including ideas on what to wear and what to bring, will be sent to you as soon as you reserve your custom photography session with Photography for Little People.
When will my images be available for viewing?
You will be able to view your images straight away. During that time, we can help you with your order, show you our most popular products, and design any specialty products.
Will I receive copies of the proofs?
Your proofs will be presented in a private, password protected online gallery. Printed proofs are not available.
Do you edit stretch marks, smooth skin, and pose me in flattering ways to make me comfortable with my maternity session?
Yes! We want you to feel comfortable and confident during your session. We will guide you the entire way during your session. We will be posing you in flattering positions that embrace the beauty of your pregnancy and then helping to bring out those “not-so-posed” natural moments.
